Ingrid Hoffmann ha logrado convertirse en uno de los personajes más queridos de la televisión estadounidense con sus exitosos programas de cocina y estilo de vida, Simply Delicioso (Food Network/The Cooking Chanel) y Delicioso (www.delicioso.com), que comienza una nueva etapa en Univision luego de su exitosa temporada en Telefutura. Tras ganarse el cariño tanto del mercado anglosajón, como del hispano, Ingrid publicó sus recetas favoritas en su primer libro SIMPLY DELICIOSO: A Collection of Everyday Recipes with a Latin Twist (febrero 2008, Clarkson Potter/Random House), al igual que una versión es español, DELICIOSO: Una colección de mis recetas favoritas con sabor latino (noviembre 2008). A la par con sus programas, Ingrid escribe, mensualmente, un artículo culinario para la revista People en Español. Recientemente, Ingrid fue reconocida como Master Chef of the Year 2011 (Flavors of Passion Awards). Abriéndose camino como negociante, Ingrid lanzó su propia línea de ollas, Simply Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann by T-Fal, a través de la cadena HSN (Home Shopping Network). La línea incluye una paellera, calderos de varios tamaños y hasta un juego de 12 piezas. Además, se unió a la compañía Furi para crear su línea de cuchillos y accesorios, también disponibles en HSN. Ambas líneas han sido tremendamente exitosas, dando paso a nuevos productos en un futuro. La fascinación de Ingrid por la cocina y la decoración empezó cuando era apenas una niña. Aprendió a cocinar de la mano de su madre, chef graduada de Cordon Bleu, en su Colombia natal, cuando aún no alcanzaba la estufa. Junto a su mamá, descubrió no sólo un amor por la cocina, sino también, una pasión por entretener, y en poco tiempo desarrolló su propio estilo. Criada en Colombia y el Caribe, Ingrid se mudó a Miami donde abrió La Capricieuse, una boutique de alta costura en Coconut Grove. Su pasión por la comida era tal, que Ingrid decidió abrir el restaurante Rocca, iniciando el concepto de cocinar sobre piedras de lava calientes. Su éxito dentro del mundo culinario de Miami la llevo a obtener su propio programa de cocina, Delicioso con Ingrid Hoffmann. El programa fue lanzado en Latinoamérica en el 2004 con Hearst Entertainment y actualmente se transmite a través de Galavision, la #1cadena hispana por cable, desde el 2006. Ese mismo año, Ingrid es invitada a participar en el programa de Martha Stewart y poco después el Food Network tocó a su puerta, lanzando así su programa, Simply Delicioso, en el 2007. Ingrid contribuye mensualmente a la revista People en Español con su columna Saboréalo y participa regularmente en Despierta America, el programa hispano con más audiencia matutina. También ha participado en Ellen, Oprah, The Bonnie Hunt Show, Martha Stewart, Regis & Kelly, The Today Show, The Early Show, y Good Morning America. El éxito que Ingrid ha obtenido le ha dado la oportunidad de involucrarse en su comunidad. Actualmente, forma parte de la junta directiva del Food and Education Fund de la ciudad de Nueva York y Amigos for Kids (Miami), también apoya a fundaciones como Belive for Colombia y el Humane Society of Greater Miami. ****
Ingrid Hoffmann is passionate about food and entertaining and spends each day sharing her enthusiasm and talent with an international audience. She hosts Simply Delicioso on Cooking Channel while her Spanish-language show, Delicioso, a weekly one-hour cooking show, starts its new season on the top rated Spanish language network, Univision. The successful show aired on Telefutura prior to making the big move to Univision. Considering Ingrid’s loyal fan base in the English and Spanish-speaking communities, she published her cookbook in both languages, SIMPLY DELICIOSO: A Collection of Everyday Recipes with a Latin Twist (Clarkson Potter/Random House) and DELICIOSO: Una Coleccion de Mis Recetas Favoritas con Sabor Latino. For her contribution to bringing awareness to the flavors of all of Latin America, Ingrid was recently named Flavors of Passion Master Chef of the Year (2011). Ever the businesswoman, Ingrid has expanded her brand beyond television and partnered with top cookware and kitchen appliance manufacturer, T-fal, to develop her own Latin-influenced line, Simply Delicioso by Ingrid Hoffmann. The line includes a Paella Pan, Stockpot, various-sized Calderos and even a 12-piece set. It launched on HSN in late 2009 and in addition is now sold at Target, K-Mart, and HEB stores. Ingrid also partnered with Furi to create her own cutlery and kitchen gadgets, which are also available on HSN. Ingrid's fascination with food, cooking and style began as a little girl. She started cooking with her mother, a Cordon Bleu chef, at such a young age that she needed a stool to reach the stove. She discovered not only a love of cooking, but a flair for entertaining, and in no time developed her own distinctive style. Raised in Colombia and the Netherlands, Ingrid moved to Miami where she opened La Capricieuse, a high fashion luxury boutique in Coconut Grove. Ingrid also opened Rocca, the first restaurant to feature tabletop cooking on heated lava rocks. Appearing regularly on local TV, Ingrid was noticed by Hearst Entertainment who signed her for her first cooking show, Delicioso with Ingrid Hoffmann, which initially launched in Latin America. In 2006, the show moved to the Spanish language network, Galavision. Ingrid’s English show, Simply Delicioso, premiered on the Food Network in 2007 and moved to the Cooking Channel in summer 2010. She writes a monthly column in People en Espanol and appears weekly on the #1 Spanish language morning show Despierta America. Ingrid has also made appearances on Ellen, Oprah, Martha Stewart, Regis & Kelly, The Today Show, The Early Show, and Good Morning America. Ingrid’s success has afforded her the opportunity to give back to the community. She is currently a board member of New York City’s Food and Education Fund and Miami’s Amigos for Kids, as well as an active supporter of Manhattan’s Food and Finance High School, Believe for Colombia Foundation and the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
